About This Dog for Adoption

Coco's ideal home

Coco is a stunning boy who’s ready to find a forever home to call his own. He has previously lived in a home, where he was housetrained and comfortable being left alone for short periods. However, we recommend gradually building this up again once he’s settled into his new environment.

Despite his size and breed, Coco walks wonderfully on the lead. He enjoys calm strolls filled with sniffs and pottering, but also loves having a secure compound to explore. He’s a smart lad, currently learning new things and happily showing off his tricks especially when there’s a tasty treat involved!

Coco is very food-motivated, which makes ongoing training a rewarding experience for both him and his future family. He’s looking for a calm, adult-only home with people who understand his need for gentle handling and space around his favourite things.

Our team will be here to support you throughout Coco’s transition and training, ensuring he feels safe and secure in his new surroundings. For now, Coco would prefer to be the only pet in the home while we continue to assess his interactions with other dogs this may change as we get to know him better.

A private garden where he can safely explore and play would be a dream come true for Coco. True to his breed, he’s also quite the singer so his new family will need to enjoy a bit of canine serenading!

Could you be Coco's perfect match?

Coco is currently on medication, which will need to be continued in his forever home. Our team would be happy to discuss his medical needs with any potential adopters. If you’re ready to welcome a loyal, loving, and charming companion into your life, Coco might just be the one for you.

Malamute Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Alaskan Malamute.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Malamute Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
